1978 jeep cj5- factory 304 v8!!! Getting the jeep out of the mothballs for the summer driving season. Has been a long term project. (3 years) "rescued" have already replaced the axles from the old dana 20 to the dana 44 from a 1978 scout. 373 gears. Tore into the transmission and transfer case. Rear wheel drive low range!) seats are from a subaru, lumbar on drivers. Brand new top- bestop brand (999 new) started fabbing doors for it. Have the soft-top doors, in poor shape as they are the originals. Floor has been patched and coated with bedliner. Have a new rear seat for it as well as some repair books for a jeep. I drive a pickup and this was supposed to be the wife's vehicle. She doesn't have time to learn how to drive a manual with her job and with 2 little ones, it would be a long time before it would be driven regularly. Time to send it to a new home. Brakes are new- put in professionally. This was originally a levi's edition jeep. Book directly between the two with addition of a 304 v8 should bring it to 4738. 50. Vehicle runs and drives, but would recommend that it be trailered home. Has been in storage and i have driven it less than 20 miles since owning. Feel free to call or text, even message. Will post pictures this evening. Trade ideas welcome, but will need to be worth a minimum of the #3 as this will continue to increase in value. I just don't have the desire or space to keep it around to only drive it in the summer.
